Come aboard the David B for a 7-day adventure to see why Alaska is known as the “Last Frontier”. Fjords, waterfalls, tidewater- glaciers, and snow-capped peaks make up the background, while humpbacks and orcas whales, seals, sea lions, and porpoises abound. Watch from the deck or in the warmth of the pilothouse for brown and black bears foraging along the shore. Keep your eyes open for mountain goats grazing on impossibly steep meadows and listen to wolves calling in the distance. For those who enjoy birding, arctic turns, murrelets and of course ravens and bald eagles are plentiful. All trips originate and depart from Juneau.
The Inside Passage is an amazing protected waterway connecting Olympia, Washington and Skagway, Alaska some 1,300 miles away. Orca and humpback whales feed in these nutrient rich waters, as well as, sea lions, seals, and Dall’s porpoises. Bald Eagles, bears and even moose are all possible along the inside passage.
